Investing in young talent and empowering future generations remains a fundamental pillar for sustainable social and economic development. In line with this commitment, the Vlora Marina project has launched a dedicated educational support initiative by awarding scholarships to two outstanding students of “Ismail Qemali” University in Vlora.
The scholarships were granted to Ruben Gjonezelaj and Maldi Budlla, who are currently pursuing Master’s degree studies in Business Administration and Finance, respectively, in recognition of their academic excellence and commitment to professional growth.
The award ceremony was held at the University’s premises in the presence of the Vice Rector of the University, Ms. Frosina Londo, students, academic representatives, and the Administrator of the Vlora Marina project, Mr. Ervin Bacaj. During the event, Bacaj congratulated the students for their achievements and highlighted the project’s long-term vision of investing in education, human capital, and the next generation of professionals.
“This scholarship program represents a meaningful investment in the future of Vlora and its youth. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage young people to pursue excellence and contribute, through their knowledge, talent, and dedication, to the development of their city and country.
At Vlora Marina, we strongly believe that investing in education and empowering young talent is among the most valuable and sustainable investments for the future. This philosophy is deeply embedded in the vision of our project, which goes beyond urban transformation and tourism development to create long-term economic and social impact for the local community. Supporting education, culture, social initiatives, and the promotion of talented young people will continue to remain one of our core priorities,” stated Bacaj.
He further emphasized that the project’s ambition is for this support to extend beyond symbolic recognition by creating tangible opportunities for young professionals through internships, training programs, and future employment opportunities within the Vlora Marina ecosystem.
As one of the most ambitious waterfront developments in the region, Vlora Marina is expected to generate a wide range of employment opportunities for the city of Vlora across sectors such as finance, administration, marketing, hospitality and tourism, marine services, and operational management. Through these initiatives, the project seeks not only to empower young professionals, but also to contribute to the development of a modern professional culture aligned with the highest international standards.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector of “Ismail Qemali” University, Ms. Frosina Londo, expressed her appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a strong example of collaboration between the private sector and higher education institutions in support of youth empowerment and educational advancement.
