Vlora Marina in support of heritage and folkloric tradition
Vlora Marina once again demonstrated its commitment in promoting heritage and tradition by sponsoring the 16th edition of the Aulona Inter Folk Festival. This event, which precedes the opening of the tourist season in Vlora, has become a tradition in the coastal city. Held for three consecutive days in Flamurit Square, the festival transformed Vlora into an international arena of cultural and folkloric tradition.
Folk ensembles from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Hungary, Italy, Greece, and Ukraine brought a festive atmosphere not only on stage but also on the streets, showcasing the rich traditions and values of their respective countries. The festival hosted more than 300 international artists, who enlivened the city for 4 consecutive days, celebrating their cultural heritage. Organized by the Aulona Cultural Center, the festival concluded with the Romanian Ensemble being declared the winner of the 16th edition.
Promoting rich heritage, vibrant traditions, and colourful customs is a top priority of the Vlora Marina project. One of the main goals of this project is to attract foreign tourists by showcasing the country’s unique values and to further develop tourism in Albania.
